Who we are

MoSanKit ("we", "us") provides free online tools at mosankit.com. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the site. If you have any questions, please contact us.

What stays in your browser

Almost every tool processes your input on your own device. The text, code, images, files and settings you enter are not uploaded to our servers. This covers the formatters, minifiers, encoders, converters, image tools, counters, generators and calculators.

• Images and files you choose are read and processed locally using your browser.
• Passwords, UUIDs and random numbers are created with your browser's built-in secure random generator and never leave your device.
• The Paste button reads your clipboard only when you click it, and only if your browser allows it.

What is sent to our server

A few tools have to look at another website for you, and web browsers do not allow that directly. For these, the address you type is sent to our server, which fetches the page and returns the result:

• Meta Tag Checker and Schema Validator (when you use the "Page URL" option).
• URL Redirect Checker, which also sends the optional user-agent text you choose.

What we keep

We do not store the addresses you check or the pages they return. To prevent abuse, the server keeps a short-lived record, linked to a one-way hash of your IP address, that counts how many checks you ran recently. It expires automatically within about ten minutes.

If you send us a message through the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message by email, and we use them only to reply to you.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (for example IP address, browser type, pages requested and time) for security and reliability. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors.

Cookies

We do not set cookies to track you, and the site does not require you to accept any. WordPress may set cookies for administrators who sign in to manage the site; ordinary visitors are not affected.

Third-party services

To display the site in its brand typefaces, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google receives standard request information (such as your IP address and browser details) when this happens. Some tools can also show a preview of an image from a web address you enter (for example the Open Graph Generator or Meta Tag Checker); that image is loaded by your browser directly from the other site.

If we add analytics, advertising or other third-party services in the future, we will update this page before they start.

Please be careful with sensitive data

Even though most tools work locally, avoid pasting highly sensitive information (such as live passwords, private keys or personal records) into any website. Tools that fetch URLs should only be used on pages you are allowed to check.

Children

MoSanKit is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to object to how it is used. The only personal information we typically hold is what you send through the contact form — email mosankit.tools@gmail.com or use the contact form and we will help.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
